Kane Nets Four Goals as Bayern Dominates Dinamo 9-2

Harry Kane scored four goals as Bayern Munich overwhelmed Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 in the Champions League.

Bayern Munich kicked off their Champions League campaign with a stunning performance on Tuesday night, marking the first time a team has scored nine goals in a UEFA Champions League match (excluding qualifying rounds).

Kane opened the scoring with a hat trick, netting from the penalty spot in the 19th minute. After Serge Gnabry had a goal disallowed for offside, a VAR review determined that Aleksandar Pavlovic had been fouled in the area, allowing Kane to convert the penalty.

Raphael Guerreiro, positioned in central midfield, doubled the lead in the 33rd minute with a well-placed shot after Jamal Musiala set him up. Michael Olise then made it 3-0 with a header, giving Bayern a comfortable lead at halftime.

With Bayern ahead 3-0 at the break, coach Vincent Kompany took the opportunity to give second-choice goalkeeper Sven Ulreich some rare playing time, replacing Manuel Neuer.

However, the start of the second half didn’t go smoothly for Ulreich, as Dinamo Zagreb quickly scored two goals within five minutes, with Bruno Petkovic and Takuya Ogiwara capitalizing on some shaky defending from Bayern.

Despite this, Bayern’s victory was never in jeopardy. Kane and Olise both added their second goals around the hour mark, extending Bayern’s lead to 5-2 and putting the game out of Dinamo’s reach.

Kane completed his hat trick in the 73rd minute, converting another penalty after a handball was called. Just five minutes later, he had another opportunity from the spot after Alphonso Davies was fouled, and he again found the net, marking his fourth goal of the night.

Bayern added another goal when Leroy Sané, returning from injury, scored after coming off the bench. Finally, Leon Goretzka, another second-half substitute, capped off the scoring in stoppage time to make it 9-2.

Determined Stuttgart suffers disappointment as Madrid clinches victory with late goals

VfB Stuttgart made their return to Europe’s top competition tonight with an opening match against Real Madrid. Despite a valiant effort from Sebastian Hoeneß’s side, they fell victim to late goals from Rüdiger and Endrick, resulting in a 3-1 defeat.

Stuttgart started strong in a tense atmosphere at the Bernabeu, bolstered by thousands of traveling fans. Early chances fell to Millot and Leweling, both of whom forced saves from Courtois. The pressure from Hoeneß’s team continued, but the Belgian goalkeeper remained unyielding. He made a fantastic one-on-one save against Angelo Stiller, although Undav appeared to be offside in the buildup.

The Galacticos came alive in the 25th minute when Mbappé cut inside Karazor and Vagnoman. Alexander Nübel made a crucial left-handed save to deflect the powerful shot.

Stuttgart nearly capitalized on a counterattack, with Deniz Undav’s shot hitting Carvajal’s leg and just missing the crossbar. There was a brief penalty shout from former Stuttgart player Antonio Rüdiger, but VAR revealed it to be a theatrical appeal. Remarkably, the first half ended without any goals.

Under pressure, Ancelotti made adjustments, bringing on Militão for Vázquez, who had struggled throughout the match. Just 20 seconds into the second half, Rodrygo set up Mbappé for an easy tap-in, shifting the momentum in favor of the Galacticos. Stuttgart found some reprieve when Vinicius Junior’s shot hit the woodwork, while Leweling kept Courtois alert at the other end, only to be denied again.

Stuttgart finally found their reward in the 68th minute when a corner fell to Leweling, who hooked it back into the box. Deniz Undav rose above the defense to guide the ball into the top left corner. Just when it seemed Stuttgart might secure a memorable result, Real Madrid showed their championship pedigree. Luka Modrić’s corner was headed home by Rüdiger, and then the young sensation Endrick sealed the game with a powerful strike on the counter, making it 3-1.
