AS Roma supporters couldn’t be more thrilled with Paulo Dybala’s decision to remain at the Stadio Olimpico. Sky Sport Italia recently emphasized that only Dybala and José Mourinho have managed to ‘partially fill the void’ left by the departure of Francesco Totti, the club’s legendary captain.
Dybala, a talented Argentine forward, recently chose to stay with Roma despite an enticing offer from Al Qadsiah, a Saudi Arabian club, reportedly worth €25 million per year. Roma fans have expressed their gratitude in various ways, including gathering outside Dybala’s home to thank him for his loyalty. This strong connection between the fans and Dybala highlights the significance of the player’s presence in the team.
Juventus Football Club, Dybala’s former team, undoubtedly shaped the player’s career and contributed to his success. Known as ‘La Joya’ (‘The Jewel’), Dybala has demonstrated his exceptional skills in dribbling, creativity, and goal-scoring throughout his career. With numerous awards and titles under his belt, including the Serie A Most Valuable Player, Dybala has proven invaluable to both club and country.
Off the field, Dybala’s personal life has also garnered attention. His wife, Oriana Sabatini, recently revealed her surprising career change: from singer and model to working in a funeral home after studying embalming. This unexpected twist highlights the multi-faceted nature of the couple’s lives and interests.
Dybala’s meteoric rise from the quiet town of Laguna Larga, Argentina, to the pinnacle of international soccer stardom is a truly inspiring tale. His dedication, perseverance, and talent have brought him success at every level of the sport, and his unique celebration, the ‘mask,’ symbolizes his personal growth and achievements. As he takes the field at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Dybala’s presence on the Argentine national team further solidifies his status as one of the world’s most respected left-footed players.
“There’s great energy here today. We can only see people with smiles on their faces,” said Sky Sport’s Roma correspondent Paolo Assogna on Friday morning.
“Dybala’s decision has given the whole environment a massive boost. First of all, technically. Dybala is undoubtedly the best player in the team. But there’s also a sociological aspect. We know that Roma fans identified themselves with Francesco Totti for 25 years, a man who could even replace victories.
“First, Mourinho and then Dybala partially filled that void, and this feeling will be reinforced on Sunday night. You’ll see the fans’ affection for the Argentinean against Empoli.”
Dybala sent an Instagram message to Roma fans on Thursday night, telling them, “See you on Sunday.”
La Joya has also earned comparisons with Totti, who snubbed a move to Real Madrid in 2002.
Inter Milan’s pursuit of young Argentine defender Tomas Palacios has reached a critical juncture, with recent reports suggesting that the Nerazzurri are confident of finalizing the deal by early next week. Both Independiente Rivadavia, where Palacios currently plays on loan, and Talleres, his parent club, have been actively negotiating with Inter to ensure a mutually beneficial agreement.
In a significant development, Independiente Rivadavia’s sporting director, Sebastian Peratta, and club president Daniel Vila’s son, Agustin Vila, recently traveled to Italy to engage in face-to-face discussions with Inter representatives. These in-person meetings highlight the advanced stage of negotiations and the commitment from both parties to strike a deal. The transfer fee is believed to be in the region of €11 million, with the guaranteed fee rising from €6 million to €7 million. At the same time, the remaining amount will be covered by performance-related bonuses and add-ons.
Inter Milan’s interest in Palacios stems from their desire to strengthen their backline with young, talented players who have the potential to grow and develop within the club. Palacios, a left-footed central defender, is viewed as an ideal candidate to provide depth and competition on the left side of Inter’s defensive formation. As the Nerazzurri look to build a squad capable of sustaining long-term success, securing the services of promising prospects like Palacios aligns with the vision of their ownership group, Oaktree Capital. With negotiations in their final stages, Inter Milan fans will be eager to see Palacios donning the iconic blue and black jersey shortly.
According to reputable journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter Milan is reportedly ‘confident’ that they will finalize the agreement for Argentine defender Tomas Palacios by the beginning of next week. As negotiations near a resolution, the clubs involved have almost reached a consensus on a fee worth €6.5 million, with additional bonuses potentially raising the total value to approximately €11 million.
The agreement’s structure includes a combination of easily achievable add-ons and more complex performance-based incentives. This deal format allows Inter Milan and Palacios’ current clubs, Independiente Rivadavia and Talleres, to benefit from the young defender’s potential success and future development at the Serie A side. With Palacios expected to sign a five-year contract, the Nerazzurri’s investment in the promising talent aligns with their long-term strategy to build a robust and competitive squad.
