Paris Saint-Germain is poised to bolster their midfield this summer significantly. Gabriel Moscardo has already joined and is training with his new teammates, and João Neves is expected to follow soon from Benfica in a significant transfer.
Some departures are anticipated to make room for these new additions in an already crowded midfield. Renato Sanches, who has struggled with fitness issues since his move from Lille OSC, is likely to transfer to Benfica as part of the deal bringing Neves to PSG.
Meanwhile, Manuel Ugarte remains a target for Manchester United, though a deal has yet to be finalized. Carlos Soler, a peripheral figure since his arrival two years ago, may also be on the move. PSG is open to offers for the Spain international if a suitable bid is made.
Aston Villa showed interest in Soler earlier in the year, and Brighton & Hove Albion are still keen, having inquired about a potential transfer. West Ham United has also entered the fray, according to L’Équipe. Soler’s contract with PSG extends until 2027.

Manuel Ugarte, 23, joined Paris Saint-Germain last summer in a significant €60m transfer from Sporting. Rumors suggest he could be heading elsewhere this summer despite his recent arrival.
The Uruguayan started his PSG career strongly, playing a pivotal role under Luis Enrique during the early part of the season. However, his struggles with ball control led to a drop in his standing within the team. With João Neves and Gabriel Moscardo—who has already completed his transfer—joining the squad, competition in an already crowded midfield will intensify, potentially reducing his playing time further next season.
As a result, PSG is considering selling Ugarte. However, the Ligue 1 champions are keen to recoup their investment. Manchester United has been in talks to sign the midfielder for several weeks, but an agreement has yet to be reached.
According to L’Équipe, PSG is now open to a paid loan arrangement for Ugarte, provided it includes a substantial purchase option, aiming to avoid a financial loss on the €60m they invested last summer.

Crysencio Summerville’s transfer from Leeds United to West Ham United has been finalized. Stade Rennais had expressed strong interest in acquiring the Dutch winger as part of their efforts to revamp their attack following several significant departures.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Summerville is set to undergo a medical on Thursday before finalizing his €33m transfer to West Ham. Unable to match that price, Rennes swiftly shifted their focus. According to Foot Mercato, Corinthians winger Wesley, 19, has become their primary target.

Jonathan Clauss’ tenure at Olympique de Marseille ended on a rocky note. In January, the club sought to push the full-back out after facing public criticism from the club’s leadership, who questioned his dedication.
Despite their efforts, Marseille’s attempts to offload Clauss were unsuccessful. However, as the season drew to a close, it was evident that he would be departing. His time at OM has significantly bolstered his reputation. Since joining from RC Lens, Clauss has become a regular fixture for France, earning a spot with Les Bleus for the recent Euros in Germany, even though he did not see any playing time.
With only a year left on his contract, Clauss was an affordable option for several clubs, including two Premier League heavyweights. According to L’Équipe, Clauss turned down offers from Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Napoli to sign with OGC Nice.
The French international finalized his transfer to OGC Nice last week for an estimated €5m fee. Clauss prioritized joining a project where he felt “comfortable,” ultimately signing a two-year contract with Nice to continue his career in Ligue 1.
