Atalanta’s most expensive signing, El Bilal Toure, has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Bundesliga outfit VfB Stuttgart just one year after he arrives in Serie A.
Foot Mercato reports that the 22-year-old striker has settled terms with the Bundesliga side. However, the club must still finalize an agreement with Toure’s current team.
Stuttgart is seeking a new center-forward to fill the void left by Serhou Guirassy, who moved to Borussia Dortmund earlier this transfer window. Die Roten finished runners-up in the Bundesliga last season and has secured a spot in the Champions League for the 2024-25 campaign.
Atalanta invested a record €30 million to acquire the striker from Almeria last summer, marking it as the priciest transfer in the club’s history.
Toure endured a severe hamstring injury right after his arrival, which caused him to miss the first half of the 2023-24 season. Upon his return, he struggled to reclaim a starting spot and was relegated to a secondary role behind Gianluca Scamacca.
He finally made his Atalanta debut in February during a 4-1 Serie A victory against Genoa, where he marked his first appearance by scoring a goal as a substitute.
Last season, Toure featured in 17 matches across all competitions, including making a cameo in the final moments of the 3-0 Europa League triumph over Bayer Leverkusen.

Juventus is reportedly in the final stages of securing a deal with a new commercial partner to serve as the club’s primary shirt sponsor. The agreement is expected to be approximately €25 million per season for the Old Lady.
While the brand’s identity remains confidential, Tuttosport reports that Juventus is in the final stages of securing a two-year agreement with the unnamed sponsor.
Tuttosport hints that the club will make an announcement shortly. The new sponsor’s logo is expected to appear on the club’s shirts for the Serie A season opener against Como on August 19.
The Old Lady has recently unveiled their new Adidas home kit for the 2024-25 season.
The Bianconeri will sport a “clean” version of their new kits for Saturday’s friendly match against Brest. They might also use them in the upcoming game against Atletico Madrid in Sweden the following week.

Milan star Rafael Leao has disclosed that new coach Paulo Fonseca advises him to maintain width, engage in quick one-twos, and maximize his involvement with the ball.
The Portugal international evaluated his new coach in an extensive interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday morning.
Leao describes Fonseca as a ‘direct’ individual and observes that the first-team squad is swiftly adapting to the new coach’s methods and style of play.
“He’s a really direct person. He immediately shows what he wants. His teams have always played good football and for the attackers, he’s top,” Leao told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I feel good with him and his staff are always happy. The training sessions are very intense, always on the ball. In my opinion, we have already understood his playing ideas, it will be great.”
When asked about Fonseca’s instructions on the field, he responded, “He asks me to stay wide, look for the ball, do one-twos, get close to the area.”
The Fonseca era at Milan has officially begun. In the early hours of Thursday morning, Milan secured a victory over Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly held in the United States.
This win followed closely on the heels of a notable 3-2 triumph over Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in New York just a few days earlier.
The Rossoneri will have one final fixture in the United States, facing Barcelona in Baltimore, before returning to Italy to complete their preparations for the 2024-25 Serie A season.
