The LALIGA Youth Tournament occurred successfully in Yogyakarta on August 3-4, 2024, marking a significant milestone for Indonesia’s emerging football talent. Held at the Yogyakarta Independent School, the event saw participation from 48 teams across various regions of Indonesia, providing a vital platform for young players to showcase their skills on a competitive stage.

“I hope that with the LALIGA Youth Tournament in Indonesia, young players can show the extraordinary talent and enthusiasm of all participants. This tournament is not only about competition, but also about building a spirit of sportsmanship and inspiring the younger generation to continue to develop in sports,” stated Almudena Gómez, LALIGA representative in Indonesia, on August 4, 2024.
Andhika Suksmana, CEO of The Footballicious, who played a crucial role in organizing the event, echoed this sentiment.
“The LALIGA Youth Tournament in Indonesia is an excellent chance for young players to display their remarkable talent and enthusiasm. This tournament is about competition and fostering sportsmanship and inspiring the next generation of athletes,” he said at the Yogyakarta Independent School.
Academics from Indonesian league clubs participated in the tournament. PSS Sleman entered teams in the U-12, U-14, and U-16 categories, while the academies of Persib, Persebaya, and Persela also competed. FS17 FA, the academy of former Indonesian national team player Ferdinand Sinaga, participated in the U-14 category.
Nova Arianto, coach of the U-16 national team, was a guest of honor, providing additional inspiration for the young players. His presence, along with that of other experienced coaches, enriched the participants’ experience and offered valuable insights for skill development.
The tournament concluded with the announcement of sixteen winners, including the top three teams in each age group, Best Coach, Most Valuable Player in each category, and the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament. This event is a stepping stone for identifying and nurturing talented players for Indonesian football.

Last season, LALIGA HYPERMOTION emerged as one of Europe’s most thrilling and fiercely contested leagues, with up to nine clubs in contention for promotion until the final matchday. For the 2024/2025 season, historic LALIGA clubs are rejoining the competition, promising even greater excitement and intensity. LALIGA invites fans to experience the total thrill of LALIGA HYPERMOTION starting August 15.
The previous season highlighted LALIGA HYPERMOTION’s competitiveness. There was a mere 31-point gap between the top and bottom clubs—narrower than in other major European leagues. It also boasted the highest goal difference statistics (+29 and -21) among Europe’s top leagues.
As the season begins on August 15, fans can follow all the action from 22 clubs across over 21 broadcasters. This season’s expanded coverage includes Movistar, Orange, DAZN, Amazon Prime Video Channels, Yoigo, MasMovil, Ocenas, Hits, Populoos, Netllar, Virgin Telco, Vodafone, Finetwork, 7PLAY, Adamo, Euskaltel, Guuk, Telecable, R, and Embou, with additional broadcasters likely to join.
Massimo Adalberto Benassi of RC Deportivo expressed excitement about the broad media interest.” Having more than 19 broadcasters shows the huge interest in LALIGA HYPERMOTION and suggests that it’s going to be one of the best football competitions in Europe. At RC Deportivo we’re very excited about our return to professional football. Were back with the desire and excitement of contributing our grain of sand to the LALIGA HYPERMOTION spectacle. We’re the only First Division champion that will be playing in the category and are aware of the responsibility this represents from a sporting and media point of view, as well as from an organisational standpoint”.
Amaia Gorostiza of SD Eibar noted, “The existence of around 20 broadcasters interested in showing LALIGA HYPERMOTION matches is an indication of the growing interest in the competition, which is becoming more and more attractive and exciting season by season. We’re approaching this new season with all the enthusiasm in the world and are determined to be an important player in order to bring as much joy to our fans as possible”
Kike Pérez, General Director of Málaga CF, added, “The club is proud to be back in LALIGA HYPERMOTION after a season of hard work. It’s a very difficult competition involving teams with a lot of history. We’re very excited about our return, and are looking forward to returning to the competition in order to continue celebrating together with the Malaguistas at La Rosaleda. The competition has a large audience, which opens up very interesting markets for us to grow. We’re aware that this promotion is a boost for our project. We’ll with our project, working to continue growing, consolidating our work in the province and strengthening our links with the fans. We’re very excited about the present and the future, and our presence in LALIGA HYPERMOTION is key to our objectives”.
