The upcoming season of La Liga EA SPORTS is just around the corner, with CD Leganés, Real Valladolid, and RCD Espanyol debuting in Spain’s top division for 2024/25. These clubs secured their promotion through a rigorous and competitive LALIGA HYPERMOTION campaign. They performed exceptionally well throughout the season, frequently placing in the top five or six, and reached their goal just before the summer break.

CD Leganés

Los Pepineros earned promotion as champions of LALIGA HYPERMOTION, topping the standings in 30 out of 42 matchdays. Their impressive consistency has secured them a fifth season in La Liga EA SPORTS, following their previous stint in the top tier from 2016 to 2020. After a four-year absence, they return to Spain’s premier division with renewed ambition and excitement. Their goal is to build on the project that began two seasons ago with the new ownership under Blue Crow Sports.

Borja Jiménez, the third youngest coach in the division, will lead the team this season. He has successfully united the squad into a formidable unit, focusing on maintaining a strong defensive structure. The addition of Juan Soriano as goalkeeper is expected to bolster this defense despite Diego Conde’s departure. Additionally, Valentín Roser has joined the team, while Enric Franquesa and Sergio González will continue with the squad.

In attack, CD Leganés will aim to capitalize on the opportunities they generate. The squad boasts promising offensive talent with the acquisition of Roberto López and the retention of Dani Raba and Juan Cruz. Up front, Diego García and Miguel De La Fuente, who scored 12 and 13 goals, respectively, last season, will be key players as they seek to excel at a higher level.

Real Valladolid

A year after their relegation from La Liga EA SPORTS, Real Valladolid secured an immediate return by finishing second in LALIGA HYPERMOTION. They demonstrated strong form in the season’s final stretch, ending on a high note. This year, their goal is to break the recent pattern of promotion and relegation by establishing a more permanent presence in the top tier.

Like CD Leganés, Real Valladolid aims to solidify its position and become a fixture in La Liga EA SPORTS this season. To achieve this, it will focus on strengthening its defense with the additions of Eray Cömert and João Vitor Miranda, who will team up with Enzo Boyomo and Javi Sánchez to form a robust central defense. Víctor Messeguer is expected to remain in midfield, complemented by the new signing Stanko Juric, while Iván Sánchez is poised to propel the team forward.

In attack, Los Blanquivioletas have some big names, such as Darwin Machís, Amath Ndiaye, and one of their most expensive signings in history, Stipe Biuk. They hope he can form a lethal partnership with Mamadou Sylla, a key player, as they win the promotion.

RCD Espanyol

RCD Espanyol secured promotion through the playoffs after finishing fourth in the second tier. Despite experiencing a rollercoaster season and cycling through three different coaches, they remained resilient and advanced through the playoffs. Returning to La Liga EA SPORTS, they overcame Real Oviedo and Real Sporting.

RCD Espanyol aims to reassert its position in La Liga EA SPORTS this season. Historically, it has consistently been a top-tier club, marking its 88th season in Spain’s premier division. It is currently tied with Atlético de Madrid for the most seasons spent in the highest level of Spanish football.

RCD Espanyol is known for its aggressive style of play, aiming to control matches by pressing into the opposition’s half and dictating the game. They boast a strong core, including goalkeepers Joan García and Fernando Pacheco, defenders Fernando Calero and Leandro Cabrera, and new full-backs Álvaro Tejero and Carlos Romero. In midfield, Álvaro Aguado will be supported by José Graguera and Edu Expósito.

In attack, Javi Puado and Pere Milla will continue to play critical roles, with the addition of Max Svensson, who is expected to bolster Los Pericos’s goal-scoring capabilities. Following a standout season from Puado, seeing how he performs in La Liga EA SPORTS will be exciting this year.
